Service Center Team Member - Conserv FS - Waterman, IL

About the role
Under the direction of the Service Center Manager, this role performs assigned tasks and functions for the operations of the Service Center. Work as part of a team to provide customers with an unbeatable experience while adhering to Conserv FS’s Code of Conduct, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures. May collaborate with teams across all divisions, locations, and partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Delivers products to customers or Service Centers according to company standards.
- Applies crop production inputs to fields and growing crops under appropriate supervision, following recommended rates, procedures, and pesticide labels.
- Mixes or blends products according to recommended rates, procedures, and pesticide labels.
- Records application data according to regulations and standards.
- Manages inventory control and record-keeping by following set procedures.
- Sets up material handling, blending, storage, transport, and application equipment for product delivery.
- Performs daily inspections and routine maintenance on vehicles and Service Center equipment.
- Repairs and rebuilds equipment as needed.
- Assists in loading trucks, Anhydrous Ammonia tanks, and fertilizer trucks for delivery.
- Contributes to achieving goals by improving efficiency and reducing costs.
- Provides excellent customer service and works with the operations team to fulfill customer needs.
- Maintains company equipment, adheres to the uniform policy, and upholds a professional image.
- Performs building and grounds maintenance as assigned.
- Operates equipment or completes tasks for Conserv FS Service Centers or partnered organizations.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years of related work experience demonstrating knowledge of and ability to safely operate agricultural equipment (e.g., sprayers, floaters, forklifts, front-end loaders, articulating loaders, skid steers).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required; Class A and Hazmat endorsement preferred.
- Must hold or obtain all required pesticide or fertilizer licenses/certifications in applicable states; responsible for renewing and reporting status to the Service Center Manager.
- Ability to work extended hours as business conditions require.
Working Conditions
- Occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet).
- Noisy conditions; may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.
- May be required to work at varying heights.
- Ability to lift 51–75 lbs.
- Willingness to participate in required training, including Conserv FS policies and procedures.

Pay
$18.00 – $24.00 per hour. Actual compensation determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. Certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
