Service Center Manager
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Leading, directing, and overseeing employees at the service center.
- Managing the Service Center’s hiring process by selecting the best qualified applicants for office and driver staffing.
- Making measurements, setting, and driving company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Monitoring and meeting profit and loss goals.
- Training and developing drivers and operations staff.
- Providing a safe and efficient working environment for employees.
- Communicating with internal and external customers.
- Directing service center’s transportation activities to maintain efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitoring operational metrics throughout the service center and ensuring all local, federal, and state regulations are met.
- Ensuring operations align with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with safety and HR departments on all compliance and disciplinary matters.
- Advocating and maintaining commitment to safety.
- Working jointly with Maintenance and Equipment Cleaning functions for the Service Center and third-party vendors.
- Performing all other duties as specified.
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
- 3+ years of supervisory experience required.
- A high school diploma or equivalency required.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Transportation, maintenance, and/or equipment cleaning experience preferred.
- Tenure and experience at Highway Transport may be considered in lieu of position requirements.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- Occasional travel as needed.
- Majority of time spent in an office environment.
- After-hours and weekend work as needed.
