Southern States Toyotalift is seeking experienced Forklift Technicians to join our team. This role involves servicing and maintaining a variety of material handling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and uptime for our customers.
About the role
As a Forklift Technician, you will perform planned maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on Toyota and other brand forklifts. You’ll work closely with our customers to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency through our comprehensive service plans.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on forklifts and material handling equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct 250-hour, 1,000-hour, and 2,000-hour service intervals
- Replace wearable components such as hoses, brake pads, and other parts
- Provide fleet analytic reports to customers to optimize equipment performance
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Ensure customer equipment meets safety and operational standards
- Work on-site at customer facilities or in our service centers
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation to customer sites
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a forklift or heavy equipment technician
- Toyota forklift certification or willingness to obtain it
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
