About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Service Assistant to join our team. This role is pivotal in scheduling necessary service work, maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure repeat and referral business, and fostering a positive environment within our dealership. If you excel in customer service and thrive in a dynamic setting, you’ll contribute to a "Believe in Nice" service experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Service Appointments.
• Work with Advisors and act as a liaison to Service customers.
• Check in Service customers as needed.
• Maintain customer relationships to ensure repeat and referral business.
• Scan, file, and maintain service records.
• Operate computer and scheduling system.
• Submit extended warranty claims.
• Follow up on outstanding claims.
• Add all service department employees to necessary computer systems and assign profiles appropriately.
• Maintain department timecards, correct punches, and review discrepancies with Director.
• Support various roles in the department as needed.
• Maintain courteous and professional dispositions.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (including listening, speaking).
• Ability to read, speak and understand English.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work alone, self-motivate and manage one’s own time.
• Physical ability to use computer hardware/software.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Computer literate (MS Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook).
• Organized and extremely detail-oriented.
• Ability to prioritize.
• Deadline-oriented.
• Research skills.
• General math skills.
• Basic knowledge of dealership operations and/or office/clerical experience.

• Competitive Salary: $21.50 to $25 per hour depending on experience.
• Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): New full-time employees accrue 4 hours per pay period, totaling approximately 96 hours in the first year, with increases over time.
