Location: Zelienople, PA | Duration: 12 months | Hours: 40/week (1st Shift) | Employment Type: Contract on W2 (US Citizens or GC Holders Only)
About the Role
The Service and Repair Technician II will be self-motivated and take the lead in developing technicians within the group. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with a primary focus on medical equipment repair and various electronic equipment repair skill sets. The technician will troubleshoot, disassemble, test, and assemble electro-mechanical medical devices.
Responsibilities
- Performs wiring and assembly of subassemblies of serviced end-item products.
- Generates and executes formal test protocols and reports.
- Sets up and operates test equipment, recording measurements.
- Provides process and test method training to new hire technicians.
- Investigates and confirms original complaints to sub-assembly root cause analysis, documenting repairs per corporate standards.
- Provides repair options to the customer service center via accurate repair estimating.
- Interfaces with Field Assurance to document root problem cause determination in Service Management and Complaint handling systems.
- Participates in developing local procedures and documentation for equipment repair.
- Supports production/Service Quality Engineer in diagnosing potential new failure modes with manufactured equipment returned for Out of Box failure analysis.
- Identifies negative trends for devices serviced.
- Assists Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines.
- Maintains working knowledge of company policies, ISO, and FDA requirements.
- Provides back-up technical support for customer issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree in electronic engineering technology with 5 years of related experience in a comparable discipline.
- Medical Device or Biomedical Engineering experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret specifications, procedures, and use hand tools.
- Proficient in preparing and maintaining documentation related to product servicing.
- Strong writing skills for technical reports, including process, resolution, and results.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate data, recommending actions.
- Knowledgeable in troubleshooting electronics and hydraulic circuits.
- Ability to coordinate test protocols.
- Works with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate technical solutions to customers.
- Proficient in reading and understanding electrical schematics.
- Keyboarding and computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Physical Demands
