As a Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our service department, focusing on customer satisfaction and ensuring accurate service requests and estimates.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate automotive services and repairs by identifying vehicle performance problems and service requests.
  • Verify warranty and service contract coverage.
  • Develop estimates and write repair orders.
  • Maintain customer records.
  • Determine correct part numbers and labor time when building work orders.
  • Accurately communicate customer concerns to technicians.
  • Ensure proper forms have signatures at time of vehicle intake.
  • Note vehicle damage during write-ups and record correct information.
  • Assess warranty status and communicate concerns to technicians.
  • Accurately complete warranty information before customer pick-up.
  • Greet customers promptly and courteously.
  • Handle customer concerns efficiently and professionally.
  • Show empathy and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ensure the service counter is staffed at all times.
  • Communicate when stepping away from the counter about destination and return time.
  • Become familiar with and proficient in all phases of the computer system required for service and parts management.
  • Meet individual and department sales goals for parts and labor.
  • Interact professionally with staff from other departments.
  • Resolve issues related to repair orders, parts, and payments.
  • Monitor and keep the drive aisle, write-up area, and shop organized and clean.
  • Refresh service displays monthly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Some college education preferred.
  • General knowledge of Harley-Davidson maintenance, systems, parts, and diagnostics or the ability to quickly learn.
  • Superior communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with point-of-sale and Parts and Service computer software, or the ability to quickly learn due to general knowledge and experience with computers.
  • Current drivers license with motorcycle endorsement.
  • Ability to operate two-wheeled vehicles at GVWR of 1360LBS. in shop and on public roads as needed.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and crouch to inspect various parts of motorcycles.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. without assistance.
