What You’ll Do

  • Greet customers and communicate daily with customers on status of trucks.
  • Generate service and repair orders by ascertaining service requests and performance problems; verify warranty and service contract coverage; inspect vehicles, write repair orders, and maintain customer rapport and records.
  • Review jobs when they are complete and close jobs.
  • Other responsibilities include:
    • Customer Service Duties: Greet customers upon arrival in maintenance area, ascertain vehicle problems and services, clarify descriptions of problems, conduct inspections, proactively check for recalls, submit documentation for warranty repair orders, retrieve mileage and VIN numbers from vehicle, examine service schedules, maintain customer rapport by providing explanations of estimates and daily updates, call customers when job is complete and truck is ready for pick up, establish good customer relations by providing estimates and timelines.
    • Repair Order Duties: Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers, explain provisions and exclusions, prepare repair orders (RO), obtain approval signatures, enter RO into service database system and send to Estimator and Dispatcher, monitor repair work to ensure vehicle will be ready when promised, print warranty, print repair orders, issue sublet purchase order numbers, review jobs when completed, collect payment from jobs, close jobs.

Compensation

$30-$40/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Physical Requirements

Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screen, physical and background check.
