About the role

Santa Monica, CA – Subaru of Santa Monica, part of Swickard Auto Group, seeks a Service Advisor to serve as the primary point of contact for guests throughout the service process.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for guests throughout the service process -- from write‑up through vehicle return
• Translate technical repair information into clear, confident guest communication -- setting accurate expectations and earning authorization through honest recommendations
• Build precise estimates and commit to realistic timelines -- then follow through on every promise made
• Coordinate with technicians and parts to keep repair workflows moving efficiently and on schedule
• Identify and present additional service recommendations that protect guest safety and vehicle performance
• Deliver a consistent, professional service experience that keeps Subaru owners returning to this store
• Maintain accurate records in the DMS and uphold all documentation and compliance standards

Requirements

• 2+ years of service advisor experience at a franchised dealership or automotive retailer (required)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Subaru or Japanese brand service advisor experience
• Reynolds & Reynolds DMS experience (other DMS platforms considered)
• Familiarity with Subaru's ownership community, service intervals, and brand standards

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail -- accurate estimates and realistic timelines are non‑negotiable
• Self‑motivated with a genuine drive to build a long‑term book of returning guests

Pay

OTE of $50,000 - $100,000+/yr
