About the role
The Service Administrator processes orders for the Service Department, assists with determining service requirements, ensures all service issues are handled expeditiously, and follows Company service guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Assists customers on the phone and in person by helping properly identify repair needs
- Documents all service issues accurately in business system and in manufacturers portal as needed
- Follows up with customer as to the status of machines, cost of repairs, and other issues as directed by Service Manager
- Works with Service Manager to ensure accuracy in all parts and labor billed before closing invoicing
- Works with the parts department to fill orders for service technicians
- Maintains open lines of communication with internal and external customers
- Studies and stays current on new product bulletins and catalogs
- Uses manufacturer portal to check for warranty details and/or field campaign modifications
- Conducts self in a professional and respectful manner with co-workers and customers
- Maintains a clean and professional looking work area
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Ability to operate machinery
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Personal appearance must be neat and clean
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- A minimum of three years working experience in a related field
- Computer skills required, including all Microsoft Office applications
- Good verbal and written communication skills
