Server / Waitstaff - CAS Friday and Saturday 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Patiently and cheerfully take resident meal orders.
• Check station tables for proper settings and cleanliness.
• Read the menu before service to knowledgeably assist residents with their selections.
• Assist in plating and portion control for appetizers, salads, soups, beverages, and desserts.
• Bus tables at the end of the meal.
• Ensure all meals are served and presented according to guidelines established by the Director of Food Service.
• Provide loving care, attention, and excellent customer service to enhance residents' quality of life and wellbeing.

Requirements

• Experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or food-service-related industry.
• Able to function in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
• Strong communication, customer service, and people skills.
• Professional, patient, and able to satisfy a demanding customer base.
• Experience working with a senior population is preferred but not required.
• Team player willing to assist where needed to ensure a pleasurable dining experience.
• Familiarity with food safety, food preparation, and board of health guidelines is a plus.
• Able to adjust to different personality types and situations positively.
• Must always be reliable, caring, and gentle in actions and demeanor.
• Maintains an abiding respect for the elderly and remains calm at all times.
