Server - Soho House Chicago

Main Duties

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with all coworkers and management
• Elevate the dining experience with food and drink pairing options and discuss specials to drive sales
• Advise Management and Executive Chef on any allergies or potential red flags encountered
• Complete all check out reports at the end of each shift and have them double checked and signed by management
• Adequately serve food orders that are plated and coursed out correctly
• Assist runners and bussers with expo and service bar tickets
• Clean and stock server alley and bar area, polish silverware, plates and/or glassware as needed

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure
• Be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
• Demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
• Work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Tips certified and POS knowledge

Physical Requirements

• Seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands
• Make periodical fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the property to others
• Move, pull, carry or lift at least 20 pounds
• Bend, crouch, climb is required
• Perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping
• Stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time
• Bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, twist, walk, crouch, and squat
