About the Role

As a server at Liberty Kitchen, you have the potential to earn up to $43.00 an hour. We truly care about providing a memorable and hospitable experience. Our servers are always welcoming and accommodating to our guests, with the ability to educate and guide their experience to create lasting memories. You have a desire to expand your knowledge of our offerings and be creative with your recommendations, using suggestive selling where appropriate. You work quickly, love being part of a team, and are capable of solving problems in stride.

Responsibilities

• Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu edits
• Presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing guests about food preparation details
• Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
• Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed
• Assisting with special events as needed
• Greeting all guests in a hospitable and warm manner
• Understanding and communicating all products and services available
• Demonstrating familiarity with basic food knowledge
• Committing to delivering high levels of customer service
• Practicing appropriate/required safety and sanitation procedures at all times
• Handling cash and credit transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guests

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant
• Able to multi-task
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb, or work in confined spaces
• Customer service focused and solution oriented
• Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs
• Food handler's card may be required according to local and/or state regulations
