About the role
Dirt Habit is seeking a Full-Time PM Server to join our team. This role is available at Hotel Zelos, a futuristic oasis in the heart of the city, offering a unique blend of stylish dining and entertainment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests.
- Remain attentive to customers throughout the dining experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards.
- Complete restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing sidework as instructed.
- Maintain cleanliness standards in the restaurant, waitstation, and kitchen service area.
- Memorize menu items, recipes, and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations.
- Control allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures and legibly documenting all required information.
- Receive proper payment from guests and ensure accuracy of guest check and method of payment.
- Attend all pre-meal and departmental meetings to enhance communications and gain knowledge of products, service, and facility.
- Respond to customer inquiries and comments in person and on phone by providing timely and knowledgeable information.
- Present a clean and professional appearance at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Previous experience in similar positions of 3 months or longer.
- Basic knowledge of customer service principles, the food server function, and restaurant and kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of standard cash-handling procedures.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs, including serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment.
- Continuous standing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, and fingering throughout the shift.
- Full range of mobility and the ability to travel up to 300 feet on a regular basis throughout the shift.
- Moderate hearing to hear customers, supervisors, and communicate with other staff.
- Moderate comprehension and literacy to read use records and all special requests.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time, follow verbal and written instructions, and communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Highly organized and able to pay attention to sound and sight details in crowded and noisy situations, particularly when handling multiple tasks.
- Ability to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
