About the Resort

South Florida’s beacon of hospitality, Pier Sixty-Six Resort, has returned to Fort Lauderdale. The lush 32-acre waterfront enclave features 325 guest rooms, suites, and villas, plus an exclusive collection of 91 Private Resort Residences, 12 restaurants and lounges, a luxurious spa, curated pool options, and a waterfront promenade with retail and dining. Responsibilities

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to Pier Sixty-Six and five-star standards.
  • Understand and respond to guest needs and requests promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
  • Communicate guest feedback to the Manager.
  • Follow procedures to properly set up pool stations and perform daily side work.
  • Ensure cleanliness and condition of all glasses, dishes, and utensils used in poolside service.
  • Adhere to Pier Sixty-Six cash handling and credit card policies related to InfoGenesis.
  • Practice safe work habits to avoid injury to self and others.
  • Answer menu-related questions and guide guests through their dining experience.
  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages promptly.
  • Record transactions in the InfoGenesis system at the time of order.
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, recooking orders, product availability, meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverages.
  • Complete closing duties, including restocking items and submitting requisitions.
  • Present accurate checks to guests and process payments.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Run food and bus tables when time permits.
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
  • Speak with team members and guests using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
  • Extend courteous salutations when guests leave and invite them to return.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor guest activity in assigned work area and be alert to signs of trouble.
  • Ensure guest safety and enforce pool rules and precautions according to department standards.
  • Secure storage areas.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of daily house count, VIPs in-house, arrivals/departures, scheduled group activities, hotel facilities and services, and hours of operation for each outlet.

Requirements

  • Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol.
  • Previous experience passionately providing food and beverage service preferred.
  • TIPS and Food Handler certifications are required.
  • Familiarity with restaurant terminology and food service techniques preferred.
  • Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods.
  • Must assist other departments in case of inclement weather.
