About the role
Join The Studio as a Server and be the reason guests enjoy their dining experience. Your passion for hospitality and customer service will shine as you guide guests through a menu featuring classic American cuisine with a global flair.
Responsibilities
- Check station before, during, and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
- Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area.
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner, explaining specials and promotions.
- Record order details, repeat them to the guest for accuracy, and use the guest’s name when possible.
- Input orders into the Point of Sale system to inform the kitchen.
- Retrieve orders (up to 30 lbs.) from the kitchen, confirm accuracy, and deliver to guests with appropriate condiments.
- Abide by all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations when serving alcoholic beverages.
- Interact with guests, maintain a positive attitude, and work as a team player.
- Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
- Market and serve dessert items or specialty coffees upon request.
- Present the check promptly, collect payment, and thank guests for their visit.
- Assist with clearing and resetting tables.
- Perform side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking service areas.
- Complete general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
- Maintain self-banking procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to maintain service standards, steps of service, and departmental standards.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
- Knowledge of table settings, service ware, and menu items.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to understand menus, promotions, and communicate with guests.
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
- Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures.
- Prior food and beverage experience required; hospitality experience preferred.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and ensure cleanliness of uniform.
- Self-motivate during slow periods.
