Server Ops Program Manager

Oracle’s Server Operations team is building new technologies that automate the operational lifecycle of Oracle’s globally distributed cloud infrastructure. About the role

We are looking for a Principal-level, technically focused Program Manager to help scale and improve complex systems with high scalability, performance, and security. You will partner with development and data center operations teams to ensure the safety and security of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure while providing technical leadership to a global team of engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Iteratively scale and improve complex, large-scale distributed systems.
• Collaborate with development and data center operations teams to maintain the safety and security of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership to a global team of engineers and technicians.
• Accommodate requirements from cross-functional cloud platform teams (compute, networking, search, storage).
• Present complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

Requirements

• 4+ years’ experience in a software development environment.
• Development experience in Python, scripting languages, and/or Codex.
• Strong understanding of system concepts (networking, storage, compute).
• Experience working with other cloud platform teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment.
• Good understanding of distributed computing and cloud-based platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Reliability Engineering principles.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket.
• Understanding of cross-functional platform feature areas in cloud platforms.

Certain U.S.-based or U.S. customer/client-facing roles may require compliance with immunization, occupational health mandates, and/or drug testing.

Pay

Hiring range in USD: $90,100 – $209,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
