Server Operations Support
Full-time 40-hour work weeks supporting the Information Services Division. Position reports onsite in Oklahoma City. Sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
About the role
As a Server Operations Support with OMES, you will monitor, maintain, and enhance server infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, triage, and prioritize incoming service tickets to ensure timely resolution and SLA compliance.
- Assign tasks to appropriate technical teams ensuring accurate categorization and complete information for efficient work execution.
- Identify improperly routed or incomplete tickets and correct assignments to maintain workflow accuracy.
- Implement approved change requests from users to meet all user requirements and schedules.
- Research and stay current on the latest server technologies.
- Monitor system usage and identify areas for expansion or reconfiguration.
- Develop technical documentation and materials including diagrams, models, manuals, and procedures.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating system software, including new releases, patches, fixes, testing, and implementation into production.
- Install, configure, and maintain storage management, backup, archival, and recovery components in a networked server environment.
- Troubleshoot, isolate, and replace operating system and server components.
- Maintain systems at 99% uptime and reliability.
- Uphold customer experience standards by maintaining responsiveness, clarity, and professionalism in all interactions.
Work environment
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements
- 12 semester hours of computer science or management information systems coursework, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (one year of experience in a related field may substitute for the 12 hours of required education).
- Vocational or technical training courses resulting in technical certification may substitute for the 12 semester hours.

Pay
Salary is up to $60,000 based on education and experience.
