About the role
This team member will provide expertise in a Windows server environment and will be responsible for securing the UA’s network and ensuring optimal connectivity for our end-users to accomplish their daily activities. This position will report to the Director, Advancement Network/Computing as a member of UA’s Network and Computing team.
Responsibilities
- 40% Server Administration - Installing, patching network and server hardware, monitoring UA systems, and maintaining UA's disaster recovery.
- 15% Network Administration - Maintaining UA’s VLANs, adjusting firewalls, and requesting firewall changes from IT Services.
- 25% Application Administration - Being the lead administrator for our Microsoft and TeamDynamix environments, creating software installation packages.
- 10% Provide top-tier support for UA’s systems.
- 10% Maintain UA’s disaster recovery system, performing backups and restores.
Requirements
- Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in deploying, maintaining, and supporting Windows-based servers and systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications
- Thorough working knowledge of the Microsoft platforms including SharePoint, Hyper-V, Active Directory, IIS, Always On VPN, MSSQL, and Microsoft System Center.
- Experience with administering TeamDynamix (TDX).
- Experience serving as ongoing support for server and application as well as functional and technical problem resolution.
- Experience with Oracle.

- Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems.
- Proficiency in network administration tools and techniques.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Pay
Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually.
Schedule
