Server Lead

Position Summary

A Lead Worker will assist the Dining Room Manager with the operation of dining rooms, ensuring service and food quality meets or exceeds La Posada standards. They will also carry out the duties of a server and manage a team of servers.

Essential Functions

• Resolve customer complaints regarding food service.
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.
• Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures in order to ensure quality standards and service.
• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures for servers including, service, appearance, customer service, and assigned duties.
• Monitor server sections for flow and distribution of workload, catering functions for special setups and service issues, and salad bars and buffets for professional and appealing appearance.
• Prepare information for supervisors as requested on dining room operations and performance.
• Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees in accordance with work requirements.
• Oversee the set-up of all stations.
• Check resident floor refrigerators for cleanliness and appropriate par stock levels.
• May recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to enhance service quality and job safety.
• Participate in additional duties as assigned.

Skills And Abilities

• Experience: One to two years related experience.
• Licenses/Certificates: Title 4 Server Training required to be completed within 90 days of hire. Basic computer skills are necessary.
