About the role

The primary focus of this role is to provide excellent dining services to residents, adhering to 5-star standards and maintaining a positive environment. The role involves performing various duties including opening, serving, and closing tables, ensuring accurate order input, and reporting any issues to the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Accurately input customer orders in the computer system to ensure proper charges.
• Serve tables as residents are seated, creating a pleasant dining experience.
• Inform the supervisor of customer problems immediately and of any noticeable or perceived changes in residents' health.
• Perform as a banquet server, assisting with room decorating and setups.
• Participate in culinary events such as omelet, carving, and cooking stations.
• Pick up and deliver food while maintaining proper temperatures.
• Stock standard food items in kitchens and wash dishes following guidelines.
• Label, date, and rotate food items, discarding those older than 48 hours.
• Maintain HACCP logs and keep food temperature records according to federal guidelines.
• Prepare food and plates according to therapeutic diets, altering consistencies as necessary.
• Must be able to use visual and verbal communication effectively, assist in patient transfers, and work in noisy, high-noise environments.

Requirements

No formal education or certification is required for this position. However, applicants should be able to meet the physical requirements outlined, including lifting and moving supplies and patients, working in various positions, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

This role requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and a willingness to learn about therapeutic diets and food preparation techniques. Team members must also be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.85 - $28.30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
