About the Role

This position is dedicated to providing exceptional quality service to our guests. The main responsibility is to serve guests' needs by providing expert knowledge of food menu items, wine, spirits, and mixed drinks, as well as information regarding preparation methods.

Responsibilities

• Create a wonderful dining experience by connecting with guests and maintaining an exceptional knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and mixed drinks, including menu items and preparation methods.
• Communicate guest orders, including any special needs or requests, to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sale system; verify completed orders match the guest’s original request.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions.
• Deliver and clear guest food, and assist with any guest needs throughout service in a timely manner.
• Upsell higher-priced wine and food items to achieve the sales goals of the department.
• Accurately close guest checks and process cash and credit card payments.
• Provide quick and efficient service while following state and city alcohol laws and adhering to Four Seasons standards of service and sequence of service.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, restaurant standards, and complete daily side work.
• Ensure professional, courteous, and efficient guest service, greeting each guest promptly with eye contact and a smile.

Requirements

• 2+ years of serving experience, preferably within a luxury hotel and/or high-end restaurant environment.
• Working knowledge of Micros POS system is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and personal presentation skills.
• Guest-focused mentality with an understanding of guest preferences.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
• Confident, outgoing personality with a can-do approach to any request.
• Ability to stand continuously for 8 or more hours a day and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Fluency in English and current work authorization in the United States.
