Server - Drift (Part-Time)

About the role

Restaurant servers are responsible for submitting guest menu selections and presenting these food and beverage preferences. The right person will gain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our compilation of cuisine and drink offerings. A Hyatt restaurant server will engage in casual conversation and create the restaurant experience by their style and service attributes. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight. Candidate should be able and willing to support in other F&B outlets, including Shor and Market as needed.

Responsibilities

• Submit guest menu selections and present food and beverage preferences.
• Gain menu knowledge and provide recommendations.
• Create the restaurant experience through casual conversation and service attributes.
• Show strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Lift, pull, and push moderate weight.
• Support in other F&B outlets, including Shor and Market as needed.
• Maintain a sanitary environment.
• Work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
• Perform general restaurant preparation.

Requirements

• Experience as a server in a restaurant.
• Valid CA Food Handler Certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain).
• Flexible schedule availability: mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Food knowledge and restaurant station set-up (preferred).

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $19.00. This is the pay rate for this position that Hyatt Regency La Jolla reasonably expects to pay.

Schedule

Open and flexible availability including mornings/evenings, weekends and holidays required.
