Server/Dietary Aide - Healthcare

About the role

The Dietary Aide/Server provides above-average hospitality services. Essential functions and responsibilities may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and serve meals to residents.
• Assist with food preparation as assigned, stock serving areas, and set up dining areas.
• Clean and sanitize all equipment, appliances, and work areas; assist with cleaning of dining rooms.
• Operate dishwasher appropriately and put away clean dishes; perform light cleaning of common areas.
• Ensure food and other items are stocked and stored properly; maintain storage areas.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Understand nutritional requirements for residents; record drink temperatures and dish machine readings.
• Interact politely and helpfully with residents, responding to their requests and inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure efficient and thorough service of all assigned areas; maintain professional relationships with co-workers and other staff.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to use a dishwasher and record temperatures.
• Ability to pass a TB test and healthcare background check.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as needed.
• Reliable transportation to and from work when scheduled.
