Server Diet Aide HC
Part-time position: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
About the Role
The Server/Nutrition Services Diet Aide is responsible for meal tray set-up and the preparation/portioning of therapeutic diets for the skilled nursing tray line in accordance with physician orders and posted therapeutic diet menus. Assists with the set-up of the assisted living restaurant-style dining room prior to meal service and takes resident meal orders in a courteous manner.
Responsibilities
- Set up meal trays and prepare/portion therapeutic diets for the skilled nursing tray line following physician orders and therapeutic diet menus.
- Assist with setting up the assisted living restaurant-style dining room before meal service.
- Take resident meal orders courteously.
- Work safely and comply with all department and community safety policies and procedures.
- Multitask efficiently in a busy environment.
Requirements
- Reliable, organized, and able to assist team members as needed.
- Excellent customer service and listening skills.
- Food handler card (obtainable through the community).
- Six months’ experience as a diet aide or diet clerk in a skilled nursing facility preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Must be able to work 2 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift.
