Pay
Competitive wages ranging from $20.00 to $21.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Complete pre and post-meal time checklists for skilled nursing trayline and assisted living dining services.
- Prepare meal trays for skilled nursing trayline and achieve competency in understanding therapeutic diets menus.
- Take assisted living residents' orders graciously and courteously, listening with patience.
- Clear dishes from dining room tables before, during, and after meal service.
- Assist with the preparation and portioning of nourishments, snacks, salads, and desserts.
- Set up tables in the health center dining rooms and break them down after meals.
- Transport hot and cold foods to and from the kitchen, as well as all required non-food items.
- Maintain station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary conditions per manufacturer guidelines.
- Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
- Follow proper food handling techniques and coordinate the use of time, material, and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense.
- Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene and comply with department dress code.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Strong desire to work with and have empathy for the elderly.
- Excellent customer service and listening skills.
- Reliable, organized, and a team player.
- Food Handler card (can be obtained after hire).
- Six months' experience as a diet aide or diet clerk in a skilled nursing facility preferred but not required; will train on-the-job.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
- Ability to interpret standardized recipes, instructions, specifications, and standards.
- Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders, and interpret specifications and standards.
About the Role
The Server/Nutrition Services Diet Aide is responsible for table service within the community dining rooms, ensuring all standards of restaurant dining service are met and providing exemplary customer service to all residents.
