Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests as they are seated at tables, ensuring that the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other dining needs have been provided.
- Distribute food and beverage menus and present any daily specials.
- Answer questions regarding the menu.
- Take food and beverage orders and deliver them to the kitchen.
- Ensure that state and local guidelines are followed when serving alcoholic beverages.
- Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to members and guests at tables.
- Ensure food orders are prepared correctly and to member/guest satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked orders to the kitchen.
- Regularly check on tables to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Collapse plates and clear tables as members/guests finish their meals.
- Collect payments and process them accurately.
- Arrange tables to conform with in-house restaurant standards.
- Break down tables after use and prepare them for the next seating.
- Prepare member/guest checks and collect payments, ensuring accuracy.
- Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
- Stock serving stations and keep them clean and organized.
- Ensure overall restaurant cleanliness.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience
- Prior serving experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to operate the Point of Sales (POS) system.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to lift, balance, and carry trays of food.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs or more.
