About the role
We are looking for a Food Runner available to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays to join our fun-loving, thriving team. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain experience in the restaurant industry while ensuring our guests enjoy a high-quality dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Clean and reset tables in the restaurant’s style, ensuring proper setup and cleanliness of table, chairs, and surrounding floor area.
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately, acting as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff.
- Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g., food allergies).
- Re-stock service stands, including ensuring the beverage station (coffee, tea, etc.) is fully stocked.
- Empty trash, bring clean glassware to the bar area, retrieve ice, linen, and fold napkins.
- Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items.
- Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g., when they ask for the check).
- Provide families with young children with kids’ menus and special silverware sets.
- Remove used dishes and utensils from tables and bring them to the dish area for cleaning.
Requirements
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Must meet state legal age requirements.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Availability to work various shifts, including weekends (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays).
Pay
Hourly wage plus tip outs.
