Server Assistant (Part-Time)

About the Role

As a Server Assistant, you will ensure that our incredible dishes meet guest expectations and are delivered to the right table in a timely manner. In this role, you will experience the joy you bring our guests when presenting them with the culinary works of art in our upbeat cafe.

Responsibilities

• Set up all garnishes for dishes and trays.
• Stock all needed china, silver, and linens.
• Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area.
• Promptly and efficiently reset trays.
• Set up and break down station at the beginning and end of shift.
• Assist with special guest requests to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Maintain communication between servers and kitchen associates.
• Maintain ticket times and ensure promptness with quote time.
• Maintain standard of plate presentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be knowledgeable in preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.

Requirements

• Must have night availability.
• Knowledge of appropriate tray settings and service ware.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout shift.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to understand verbal and written English to comprehend guest requests and safety notices.
• Ability to grasp, lift, carry, and/or transport up to 50 lbs.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to learn all menu items and garnishes.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to self-motivate during slow periods.
• Ability to maintain composure during peak hours.

Skills

• Basic mathematical skills necessary to ensure proper delivery amounts, understand portion sizes, and assist with inventory.
• Sufficient manual dexterity of hands to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, tap kegs, and extend arms overhead to stock items.
