Server Assistant, Part-Time

About the Role

The Server Assistant reports to the F&B Managers and works in a team environment with other F&B professionals, including barbacks, bartenders, servers, dishwashers, cooks, and chefs. This role requires a background in basic service techniques, excellent time management skills, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Support the service staff by creating a clean and inviting environment, ensuring proper steps of service, and executing guest requests in a friendly and timely manner.
• Participate in daily line-ups and quarterly all-staff meetings to develop ideas, provide constructive feedback, and strategize improvements.
• Maintain working knowledge of health and sanitation standards, proper table setting, menu offerings, and safe alcohol service.
• Serve food and beverage items based on guest requests, respecting health and safety measures.
• Keep workstations clean and organized, demonstrating urgency for guest requests.
• Expand knowledge of culinary and beverage terms through continuous study.
• Observe and report facility conditions to the F&B leadership team for corrections and improvements.
• Communicate with F&B and Culinary teams to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
• Assist in other F&B areas as needed, including Banquets, Bar, Café, In-Room Dining, Pool, and Restaurants.

Requirements

• Passion for the People, Place, and Character of the community.
• Previous experience in a free-standing or hotel restaurant preferred but not required.
• TiPS Alcohol service certification and SafeStaff Certificate of Completion, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Must meet local age requirements to serve alcohol.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English, both verbally and non-verbally.
• Physical requirements: continuous standing/walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, fine motor coordination, and working in extreme temperatures.
