Server Assistant NU - TAT

About the role

This position supports service activities with primary responsibility for: clearing, moving, and setting tables; cleaning tables/chairs and booths; cleanliness of restaurant; delivering food to guests; assembling and delivering to-go orders when necessary; and supporting bar service activities.

Responsibilities

• Assists guests and servers in a timely and professional manner.
• Cleans and polishes glassware, flatware, and equipment.
• Waters tables upon seating and gives refills on all glasses half full or less.
• Removes dirty items from tables; cleans and sets tables with silverware, glassware, and china; rolls silverware; fills water glasses; and transports food to guests.
• Transports dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware from dining room to kitchen and/or bar.
• Accurately assembles, fills, and delivers to-go orders when necessary.
• Ensures the cleanliness and organization of designated work areas.
• Stocks and replenishes an adequate supply of product and equipment based on expected business volumes and completes setup and breakdown duties to department standard.
• Sweeps and mops floors and completes other assigned cleaning duties.
• Supports bar staff by clearing dirty dishes and glassware, washing glassware, and stocking ice.
• Complies with company, local, state, and national regulations pertaining to food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation standards, alcohol service, and safety.
• Completes all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 6 months related experience in a high-volume, high energy, food & beverage environment
• Availability to work nights and weekends as needed
• Regularly required to position self to move about while performing duties
• Frequently required to operate and use server station tools and equipment; and communicate with guests, employees, and management
• Must move up to 30 pounds frequently
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
