Server Assistant/Food Runner (26-27 Season)

About the role

The Server Assistant/Food Runner will work in both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) to deliver food and beverages to guests, prepare non-alcoholic drinks, handle light food preparation, and assist in setting up, cleaning, and clearing the dining room.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers in properly serving food and beverages
• Clear, clean, and reset tables to ensure readiness for the next patrons
• Ensure food and beverages are made and garnished properly
• Prepare non-alcoholic beverages and some light food items
• Ensure orders are grouped correctly and customers receive the right order
• Maintain a clean, organized station and close it properly at the end of the shift
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance of work areas, completing all assigned daily tasks
• Work positively with all staff members, both independently and as part of a team
• Uphold the organization’s standards at all times

Requirements

• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to maintain friendly, attentive service
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, stand for up to six hours, and lift up to 25 pounds
• Willingness to commit to the mission, vision, and values of the theater
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state and/or federal laws
