Server Assistant

Duties and responsibilities

• Accurately represent the Tiny Boxwoods Productions’ brand as outlined in the Culture Companion.
• Learn and be knowledgeable of the food and beverage menus.
• Assist in preparing dining room and patio for service.
• Deliver food and beverage from the kitchen or bar to the appropriate table.
• Perform regular table maintenance for guests throughout their meal.
• Collect and polish all table settings for service.
• Interact with guests in a polite and friendly manner.
• Monitor quality control and guest satisfaction.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing tasks effectively and quickly.
• Occasional food preparation to include but not limited to coffee, tea, and condiment ramekins.
• Must adhere to sanitation, safety and alcoholic beverage control policy and regulations.
• Follow side work procedures as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about food, wine, spirits (where applicable), and coffee.
• TABC Certified
• Texas Food Handlers certificate
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good memory
• Flexible availability in scheduling
• Capacity to multitask
• Clear communication skills
• Must be able to successfully carry 2-3 plates at a time and/or a tray containing dishware, glassware and/or cutlery.
• Ability to work as part of a team

Working conditions

• The incumbent will be working in a restaurant setting on the floor with guests, in the kitchen and dish area.
• Potential hazards include but are not limited to cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns.
• Frequent hand washing is required.

Physical requirements

• The incumbent is required to stand for the entire shift.
• Incumbent is regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position is very active and requires walking, standing and minimal lifting up to 25 lbs.
