About the role

Responsibilities
- Attend all restaurant required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Groot Hospitality standards.
- Full-time availability with flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines issued by the Health Department.
- Complete assigned side-work in allocated timeframe.
- Clearing dirty plates, utensils, and glassware from tables as required.
- Carrying dirty plates, utensils, and glassware to the appropriate area for washing.
- Promptly clean tables, chairs, and booths between seating.
- Arranging tables and chairs to accommodate larger groups of guests.
- Assisting with polishing and restocking.
- Delivering food to tables when Food Runners and Servers are busy.
- Ensuring that the server station is adequately stocked with necessary restaurant supplies.
- Checking floor and cleaning as required.
- Checking in with guests and taking additional orders or refilling water, as needed.
- Always thanking guests and using their names when possible upon departure.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 or more years of experience in a high-end, fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety.
- Patience and customer-oriented approach.
- Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude.
- Responsible and trustworthy.
Physical Requirements
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 6 hours on your feet.
Teamwork
- Communicate with your team and management about pertinent information affecting the guest experience.
- Report any issues that could affect the guest experience to management.
- Fix anything that is out of place during service.
