About the role
The Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant, part of Mount Vernon Estate, is seeking Part-Time Servers to assist in food service operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in positive guest and client relations
- Coordinate and implement food service, including refilling beverages and water, and running food to the tables
- Assist servers in resetting and bussing tables
- Take note of dirty, clean, and occupied tables
- Maintain cleanliness of the front door area and patio, both inside and out
- Inform management of guests who are unhappy with the service
- Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Lift items up to 25 pounds
Requirements
- Organized, detail-oriented, and flexible
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- One to two years of food service or restaurant experience is preferred
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds
- Clear verbal communication and customer service skills are essential
- Physical requirements include prolonged standing and walking, carrying trays, reaching, and bending

Pay
$10.00 per hour plus tips
Schedule
2-3 days per week
Day shift: 10:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Evening shift: 3:00 - 8:00
