Server - 1606 Restaurant & Oyster Bar

About the role

We are seeking a passionate hospitality professional with strong guest service skills and thorough knowledge of the Food & Beverage experience for the position of PT Server at 1606 Restaurant & Bar located in the Beauport Hotel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for service and serve guests with professionalism and friendliness.
• Provide detailed menu descriptions and anticipate guest needs.
• Make wine, beer, and cocktail recommendations based on full knowledge of these beverages.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and follow proper procedures.
• Inform guests about daily specials and specialty menu items.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning checklists and responsibilities.
• Participate in daily staff meetings and departmental training sessions.

Requirements

• At least two or more years of experience in a Full-Service Restaurant, with a combination of previous Food & Beverage experience.
• TIPS Certified.

Skills

• Ability to upsell and cross-sell all hotel services.
• Thorough knowledge of food & beverage service.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with industry relevant Point of Sales systems.
• Ability to practice and adhere to all safety requirements.

Pay

The base wage of $6.75/hr plus tips is calculated upon historical averages and seasonality with total compensation typically ranging between $27-$37/hr.

Schedule

This position requires working breakfast, lunch, and dinner hours.
