About the role
Bering Straits Professional Services (BSPS), a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is seeking a Sergeant Lead/Armed Security Guard for CDC at Spokane, WA.
Responsibilities
- Establish inspection tours for ASOs.
- Authorize deviations from the established schedules.
- Perform all designated guard functions.
- Prepare additional reports.
- Provide and maintain a high state of security.
- Conduct quarterly exercises.
- Issue permanent and/or temporary identification (ID) cards/badges.
- Accept in-coming and out-going express mail packages.
- Assist with traffic operations.
- Conduct rover foot patrols.
- Perform enhanced access control procedures.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old or older.
- Have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Be a citizen of the United States.
- Not have a previous private investigator or security guard license revoked or denied.
- Not have been declared incompetent by a court because of a mental defect or illness.
- Not have suffered from narcotics addiction or dependence or habitual drunkenness.
- Not have been convicted of a felony in any state or territory.
- Not have filed for bankruptcy or another form of documented financial distress in the past 48 months.
- Not have been convicted of any of the specified crimes.
- Not have engaged in the private investigation or security guard business without a license.
- Not have transferred security guard or firearms license to an unlicensed person or subcontracted with an unlicensed person or firm to conduct investigations or security guard business.
- Not have employed anyone to conduct investigations or security guard business who was in violation of any of the prohibitions or requirements of law.
- Not have falsely represented that they are or any other person is a law enforcement official or a person licensed as an investigator or guard.
- Not have divulged any information obtained from or for a client without express permission.
- Not have knowingly accepted employment to obtain information intended for illegal purposes.
- Not have authorized or encouraged another person to engage in any of the above activities.
- Must hold a Position of Trust.
Qualifications
- Must have Security Guard License for applying state.
