Separation of Powers Attorney (3-6 years)
Specific Job Duties
- Generate and lead high-profile cases in PLF’s Separation of Powers practice group.
- Identify and litigate emerging separation of powers theories.
- Develop and drive your own cases while taking ownership of established cases.
- Set the agenda by helping develop successful strategies to keep the victories coming.
- Advocate for separation of powers by speaking with organizations, trade groups, academics, students, and the public.
- Write persuasively for all audiences, including writing briefs, op-eds, journal articles, blog posts, and more.
Requirements
Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
A knowledge of, and passion for, the ideas of freedom and individual liberty
A strong work ethic
A willingness to travel
Litigation experience
A clerkship or work with a state or federal agency
Qualifications
A degree in law or a related field
3-6 years of experience in legal practice
Skills
A deep knowledge of the moral and constitutional basis for the Constitution’s structural protections
