About the Role
The SEO Specialist is a doer. You turn search strategy into executed work across technical SEO and content. You take direction from the SEO/GEO lead and the Account teams, then produce the keyword clusters, research, technical fixes, and content that move client performance forward. You are organized, detail-oriented, and reliable. You care about getting the work right, hitting deadlines, and learning fast in a space that changes constantly, including the rise of AI-driven and generative search. You work well across departments. You partner with Development to get technical fixes implemented, with Creative and Copywriting to bring content plans to life, and with Accounts to keep work tied to client goals.

Responsibilities
Technical SEO Execution
- Build keyword clusters and conduct keyword and competitive research.
- Run site audits and compile prioritized technical SEO task lists for Development.
- Support on-page optimization: metadata, internal linking, structure, and basic technical fixes.
- QA implemented changes against the spec.
Content Execution
- Develop content and build content plans that align to keyword and client strategy.
- Partner with Creative and Copywriting to produce and optimize content.
- Support content amplification and organic growth work.
GEO / AI Search
- Build and evolve Generative Engine Optimization strategies to grow visibility in AI answers.
- Stay current on AI-driven search behavior and how LLMs surface and cite content.
- Use AI-powered tools to enhance research, content, and reporting workflows.
Data & Analytics
- Pull data from Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO tools.
- Track rankings, traffic, and visibility, and surface changes and opportunities.
- Build clear, organized reports with practical recommendations.
Cross-Functional Support
- Coordinate with Accounts to keep SEO work aligned to client goals.
- Hand off technical requirements to Development clearly and completely.
- Support the SEO/GEO lead on strategy execution and emerging GEO/AI work.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of SEO experience, or equivalent training plus demonstrated hands-on work.
- Experience with both technical and content SEO tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Skills
- Working knowledge of Google tools: Analytics, Search Console, and Webmaster Tools.
- Familiarity with keyword research tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
- Comfort using AI-powered tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) in research and content.
- Basic understanding of technical SEO: metadata, robots.txt, site speed, crawl basics.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.
- Strong writing and/or content planning ability.
- Organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
- Curiosity about SEO, GEO, and AI-driven search.
