SEO Specialist
About the role
Pennock is adding a Search Engine Optimization Specialist to the team! This person will be responsible for implementing, optimizing, and analyzing on and off-page SEO across five clients. Each day at Pennock is different from the previous one and we’re looking for a candidate who is excited by a fast-paced environment, wants to learn new things, and is fired up about working in SEO for DTC and CPG brands.
Responsibilities
- Develop optimization strategies that increase search engine results rankings for our clients
- Research SEO keywords to use throughout websites and marketing materials
- Set measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in our SEO efforts
- Lead competitive and gap analysis of other companies
- Monitor daily performance metrics to understand SEO performance
- Collaborate with paid media team members and clients to execute programs
- Write compelling and high-quality website content, including meta tags and in-line copy
- Develop and execute internal linking and backlink strategies for maximum optimization and search engine rankings
- Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of SEO experience
- Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools
- Previous agency experience
- Comfortable analyzing high volumes of data on a daily basis
- Analytical and data storytelling experience
