About the role

Apart from being a part of a highly creative agency recognized by leading publications, you'll be working closely with clients and Directors to bring proactive SEO opportunities to the table. You'll be managing the main client and account team point of contact relationships, showcasing proficiency in SEO platforms like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and others, and mentoring any direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Taking full ownership of regular client-facing duties such as status updates, reporting calls, and dashboard updates.
  • Bringing proactive SEO opportunities to clients and Directors, utilizing the SEO toolkit and available platforms.
  • Maintaining regular usage and proficiency of SEO platforms including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, ScreamingFrog, Google Data Studio, SEMrush, Brightedge, and Adobe Analytics.
  • Mentoring any direct reports or shared reports to share the skills and knowledge gained.
  • Architecting comprehensive SEO strategies and tactics for national and international brands, including multi-location brands.
  • Conducting business listing SEO audits to optimize listings, enhance ratings and reviews, and identify off-page SEO opportunities.
  • Managing enterprise-level SEO software with multi-engine and multi-language capabilities, providing insights on website SEO performance.
  • Monitoring and analyzing website SEO performance on a monthly and weekly basis with direct client interaction.
  • Implementing technical SEO strategies such as hreflang, canonical URLs, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, 301 redirects, schema markup, internal/external linking strategies, international CMS website architectures, country/language URLs, and title tag optimization.
  • Developing new SEO client initiatives and team training under the guidance of the SVP, Integrated Search and Director of SEO.
  • Managing tasks, workloads, and projects across a large SEO team, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Communicating confidently with clients to present tactical plans and SEO performance, identifying new keyword opportunities and recommending detailed actions.
  • Consulting and working directly with internal and external website development partners and firms to implement SEO recommendations.
  • Championing department processes, staying updated on SEO industry trends and best practices.
  • Reviewing and documenting the impact of significant site changes, algorithm updates, and other key drivers of organic traffic and organic-driven client KPIs.
  • Conducting SEO competitive SWOT analysis to identify opportunities and threats from competitor activity and algorithm updates.

Requirements

Must have deep experience in hyperlocal SEO, including location business listing management across dozens of online directories with enterprise level software, conducting business listing SEO audits, managing Enterprise-level SEO software, and monitoring website SEO performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in SEO, preferably in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities paired with effective client communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successful SEO campaigns and results.
  • Experience with technical SEO strategies and tools.
  • Ability to mentor and train SEO team members.
  • Strong understanding of SEO algorithms and industry trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • SEO platform proficiency (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.)
