About the role
The Command Systems (CS) IFC 4.0 Lead reports to the CS Increment 1 Lead within the CS Business Unit (BU) under the CS Special Projects Organization. They are responsible for managing the execution of the IFC through all stages of development and across each Operating Unit (OU) within CS. In addition, the CS IFC 4.0 Lead is CS's primary IFC 4.0 liaison to both other BUs and the Customer base. This role requires a strong strategic vision at the intersection of program management and engineering execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Provide clear commanders intent for the IFC, consistently assess risk posture against the IFC execution, oversee the integration of the IFC, and provide regular status to Senior Leadership.
- Provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team (Section) of between 8 and 12 Individual Contributors (ICs) based on Engineering goals, objectives, and company policy.
- Be responsible for a Systems Engineering discipline Section within the SDS Systems Engineering organization and report directly to an SDS Systems Engineering Department Manager.
- Manage a team and spend roughly 20% of your effort on Functional Homeroom responsibilities with 80% of your efforts focused as the IFC 4.0 technical assignment lead.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 8 years of related experience or Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience.
- Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Sentinel Program Access on Day 1.
- Experience with the Sentinel Weapon System.
- Experience with RIO management.
Qualifications
- Experience as a functional leader or mentor for junior engineers.
- Experience with the IFC process.
- Experience with Earned Value Management.
- Experience with translating a strategy into an executable schedule.
- Experience interfacing across organizations and customers to drive program outcomes.
- Intimate knowledge of the EMD lifecycle; from requirements and architecture development, through design and test, to deployment.

Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00
Schedule
The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
