About the role

This position is in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate across the various AVE MS&A teams; Flight Analysis, Targeting, Structures and Aero/Fluids to help coordinate activities/analysis that cross these disciplines.
  • Lead integrated efforts to get results across the finish line.
  • Present difficult concepts to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with a minimum 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a Master’s; or 4 years with a PhD
  • 1 year of technical experiences in mechanical/aerospace product development
  • 1 year of experience with MATLAB, Python, C++, or similar
  • US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

Qualifications

  • Self-starter with strong technical problem-solving skills, an aptitude for coordination across diverse teams to drive efforts to closure
  • Broad technical experiences in mechanical/aerospace engineering of missiles/launch vehicles
  • Experience in systems engineering principles including requirements development, decomposition and allocation, MBSE (CAMEO or similar)
  • Experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) verification and validation (MIL-STD 3022)
  • Experience with physical testing, instrumentation, Design of Experiments
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

Pay

$122,800.00 - $184,200.00

Schedule

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
