Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst level 2 or 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at Roy, UT to support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with business management and project management staff to develop an integrated program measurement baseline to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program.
  • Perform Schedule risk analyses and work with the program manager to resolve risky schedules, critical path issues, and network logic conflicts.
  • Perform thorough project analysis through metrics reviews and predictive analysis to enhance cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Utilize Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.
  • Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
  • Participate in month-end Earned Value reporting close activities.

Qualifications

For a Level 2: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 0 years of related professional experience - OR - 4 additional years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

For a Level 3: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 3 years of related professional experience - OR - a PhD with 1 year of related professional experience. 4 additional years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel Macro/VBA.
  • Aerospace/Defense Industry Experience
  • Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (with the investigation in the past 6 years).
  • Active SCI (SSBI) or DoD Top Secret security clearance (with a full investigation within the past 6 years).
  • Experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling
  • 1+ years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
  • Experience with Schedule Analytics and Schedule Risk Assessment tools
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills. Strong analytical ability.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Schedule

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
