About the role
The Sentinel program is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer (Level 3)/ Sr. Principal Systems Engineer (Level 4) to support the program. This position may be located in various locations including Roy, UT, Bellevue, NE, Manhattan Beach, CA, Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.
- Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs design.
- Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure they are properly represented in the model.
- Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical).
- Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
- Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration).
Requirements
- Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years of experience; or equivalent graduate certificate; or Master's degree and 3 years of experience; or PhD and 0 years of experience.
- Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of experience; or equivalent graduate certificate; or Master's degree and 6 years of experience; or PhD and 4 years of experience.
Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Ability to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances.
- Experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations.
- Experience with Model-Based Engineering / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBE/MBSE) practices, languages and/or tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody or MagicDRAW.
- Experience with one or more of the following: C2, physical security, cybersecurity, Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) systems/processes, communications systems, facility design, military aerospace development (e.g. Sentinel, Minute Man III, B-2, B-21 delivery systems).
- Self-driven, able to tackle challenges, solve problems with minimal oversight and make recommendations for solutions/process improvement to leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Skills
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
- Experience in SysML or UPDM modeling languages.
- Proficiency with the DoDAF, UAF, or other modeling frameworks.
- Experience with Cameo Enterprise Architecture, MagicDraw (No Magic, Inc.), or other architecture modeling tools.
- Experience using tools to model large systems with multiple developers.
- Experience exporting documentation out of a model-based environment.
- Experience in Software and/or Hardware design.
- Experience in documenting Interface Control Documents, Interface Requirement Specifications, and Interface Description Documents.
- Experience with software defined hardware structures (i.e., software defined radars and field programmable gate arrays).
- Experience with modeling and simulation programs such as the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM).
- Experience with applying hypervisors, cross-domain solutions, multi-level security systems, or modular open systems approach to integrated systems.
- Experience with scripting and coding languages such as Python.
- Experience with Agile Development.
- Experience with ICBM weapon system sustainment engineering and integration.

Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $163,200.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $203,600.00
Schedule
The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
