About the role

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Program Planning and Scheduling Manager 2 to join its team in Roy, UT, supporting the Sentinel (GBSD) program within the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. This role focuses on sustainment, development, production, and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, implement, and continuously improve division EVMS-compliant scheduling processes across all Segment operations, including MS Project Server and Oracle Primavera P6 environments, covering all program phases from early investment through sustainment and deactivation.
  • Lead the analyst team in activities such as Digital Transformation, tool optimization, training and development for program support personnel, proposal and strategy support, and specific program planning and scheduling activities for monthly deliverable (IPMDAR) generation.
  • Ensure scheduling implementation meets reporting requirements and provide analysis on metrics to drive process excellence and continual improvement.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the assigned segment team with guidance, troubleshooting, and satisfying programmatic requirements.
  • Manage multiple priorities and set expectations with the team.
  • Advise segment and program business managers on integrating project schedules with Earned Value Management and support internal and external reviews and audits.

This is an on-site position with minimal travel requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field with 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a master's degree; or 12 years of related experience with a HS Diploma (or equivalent) in lieu of a degree.
  • 1+ years of experience working in Microsoft Project and/or Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Experience and application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
  • Experience in program management/execution and closeout.
  • Experience with people leadership, including performance management, career development, staffing, and merit planning.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable period.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Executive presence and comfort in communications at that level.
  • Experience building strong customer relationships.
  • 1+ years of program planning activities and/or teams in an EVMS environment.
  • SSI Tools experience.
  • Experience in a DoD EMD environment.
  • Cost/Schedule integration experience.
  • Experience leading a team.

Schedule

This position follows a 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Pay

Primary level salary range: $126,600.00 - $189,800.00. The salary range represents a general guideline; actual offers consider the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
