Sentinel - Interface Systems Engineer (Level 2/3)
About the role
Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. The selected candidate will join a team of system engineers maturing the interfaces products for the weapon system from Preliminary Design Review through Critical Design Review and beyond, working in a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and/or support development of key interface artifacts including:
- Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
- Interface Requirements & Verification Plans
- Interface Logical and Physical Architecture
- Interface NX CAD Models
- Mentor Capital Wiring Diagrams
- Demonstrate technical skills, organization, effective communication, and problem-solving
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Operate in a team environment and collaborate across the program to accomplish assigned and team taskings
- Demonstrate commitment to ethics, integrity, and innovation
Requirements
Systems Engineer (Level 2)
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- 2 years of experience; 0 years with a master’s degree
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher at time of application
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period
- 1 year of experience with Cameo or similar tools
- 1 year of experience with DOORS or similar tools
Principal Systems Engineer (Level 3)
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a master’s degree; or 1 year with a PhD
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher at time of application
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period
- 2 years of experience with Cameo or similar tools
- 2 years of experience with DOORS or similar tools
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 or more years of experience with technical review boards
- 1 or more years of experience working with interfaces
- 1 or more years of experience leading/supporting trade studies or tiger teams
- 1 or more years of experience with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) or similar
- 1 or more years of experience working with NX or similar tools

Pay
- Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300 – $118,900
- Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400 – $147,600
- Salary determined by scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions
- Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus may apply
- Annual bonuses reward individual and company performance
Schedule
Standard work schedule is 9/80, allowing employees who work nine-hour days Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Relocation assistance may be available. Travel required approximately 10% of the time. Must obtain Secret clearance for start; Top Secret clearance and SAP approval required.
