Systems Engineer (Level 2)
About the Role
Develop MBSE products to include views and artifacts in support of CONOPs development, requirements gap analysis, traceability, and interface definition. Derive requirements and interfaces in support of requirements spec development. Support assessments of key performance parameters, technical performance measures, and requirement compliance. Support and generate products for formal system design reviews. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines across a small, compartmentalized, and dynamic set of programs.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Requirements
- Familiarity in MBSE (SysML and DODAF)
- Experience in systems engineering, developing requirements, verifications, and validations
- Working knowledge or experience in performing trade studies
- Working knowledge or experience within the risk and Opportunity process
- Active or Current Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI (US Citizenship required)
Desired Skills
- Experience working or collaborating across two or more engineering disciplines (software, avionics, mechanical, RF, electrical, etc.)
- Proficient in Cameo
- Experience in defining system development testing
- Familiarity with systems analysis
- Familiarity with Environment Standards
- Familiarity with Acceptance and Qualification Standards
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $79,300 - $147,300
