About the role

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a GN&C Analysis & Algorithms Manager 2 to support the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. The selected candidate will report directly to the SDS GN&C Department Manager and provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team of 8–12 individual contributors. Approximately 20% of effort will focus on personnel performance management, process training, and staffing, while 80% will be dedicated to technical leadership of the GN&C Analysis & Algorithms team.

Responsibilities

• Develop physics-based models, 6-DOF simulations, flight and ground system algorithms.
• Determine control stability and conduct ground testing leading to flight test analysis.
• Ensure program requirements are met.
• Lead a team in a dynamic environment, establishing strong working relationships across the program (e.g., NIMS, Guidance Computer, Software, Integration & Test).
• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Support employee career development and enable team success.
• Assist the cost account manager in meeting program deliverables and deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, with ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) approval.
• Experience in program execution, staffing, engineering metrics, training resources, processes, and tools.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools and Earned Value Management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in STEM or related discipline.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience in people and technical leadership roles, including Agile teams, scrum leadership, or product ownership.
• 1+ years of experience leading a project or driving performance against schedule.
• Experience interfacing and extending 6-DOF simulations with real-time environments.
• Understanding of GN&C algorithms and flight-critical software development.
• Experience with all phases of the systems engineering development life cycle, including requirements validation and verification.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and tools such as DOORS or Cameo.
• Experience with Risk Management and/or Cost-Risk-Benefit Analysis.
• Experience working with government/military personnel at government/military facilities.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Work experience in guidance & control systems, inertial sensors, navigation systems, or vehicle management systems.

Pay

Primary salary range: $139,100.00 – $208,700.00. Base salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

Schedule

Standard work schedule is a 9/80: nine-hour days Monday through Thursday, with every other Friday off.
