About the role

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Software Engineer/Principal Software Engineer to support the Sentinel program. This position will be located in Roy, Utah.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SW development for the Digital Ecosystem EMAS organization
  • Design and define system architecture for new or existing software products
  • Develop software in an agile development environment
  • Design automated test procedures for software verification activities
  • Collaborate with the lead software engineer and a team of software engineers to establish and develop automated tools
  • Develop Software Test Plans and Procedures for team software products

Requirements

  • 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 1 year with Masters or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
  • US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Experience with Agile and working in a cross-function Scrum team.
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience developing React applications and Jest testing framework.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) languages (SysML/UML) and concepts, Node.js.
  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiar with Software Development Plans.
  • Familiar with Software Engineering best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
  • At least 3+ years experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule with proven results
  • Proficient with DOORS, Cameo with the ability to develop and decompose system requirements
  • Experience interpreting complex algorithms and requirements for implementation
  • Familiar with Systems Engineering processes
  • Experience demonstrating excellent technical leadership, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills, effectively engaging with various stakeholders
  • Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high level review

Pay

The primary level salary range is $79,300.00 - $118,900.00 and the secondary level salary range is $98,400.00 - $147,600.00. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

Schedule

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. The standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
