About the role
The Candidate will provide multi-disciplinary engineering support and will apply knowledge and experience in engineering principles, criteria, and procedures to Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities, post award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles.
Responsibilities
- Support and develop large, major, and complex classified procurement requirements
- Maintain a Top Secret level clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access with Counterintelligence Polygraph
- Provide services as described below to support DoD acquisition program management requirements
- Support development and review of the full range of documentation and products required by DoDI 5000.02
- Aid in the execution of the USAF Airworthiness process per MILHDBK-516 and the AF Life-Cycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) and Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) processes as prescribed by AFMCI 63-1201
- Support implementation of Air Force Integrity Programs
- Support requirements development, allocation, and verification
- Support review and evaluation of DoD’s system design, analyses, and verification documentation and reports
- Gather and develop technical and business data necessary to build and, as required, present program briefs
- Support program meetings, working groups, and technical and business reviews as needed
- Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective actions
- Support development of contract and documentation changes and updates
- Support source selections in a technical advisory role as requested
Requirements
- 10-12 years of progressive experience supporting and developing large, major, and complex classified procurement requirements
- Top Secret level clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access with Counterintelligence Polygraph
- Chief Engineer level engineering skills and credentials as well as knowledge and experience developing, integrating, testing, fielding, and supporting radar and/or electronic warfare (EW) hardware and software on an ACAT I or equivalent low observable aircraft program
Qualifications
- Understanding offensive radar system modes and their application to mission employment
- Integration of radar hardware and software components into a radar system
- Integration of a radar system into aircraft systems
- Integration of radar systems onto a low observable aircraft
- Flight testing radar systems on a low observable aircraft
- Understanding how threat information and data is used in defining EW requirements, analyzing and evaluating EW designs, and in EW mission programming
- Integration of EW hardware and software components into an EW system
- Integration of an EW system into aircraft systems
- Integration of EW systems onto a low observable aircraft
- Flight testing EW systems on a low observable aircraft
Skills
